We were lured into 'Delhi Haat' by our taxi driver, who probably got a commission from our purchase.
Very cleverly, the sales man tempted us into buying rajais, sarees etc, and also convinced us that they will courier the stuff to us "free of cost". We were even told that if we have any complaints we could return the stuff to the Bangalore counterparts and redeem the money.
We got back to Bangalore in a weeks time, but the parcel did not arrive. We made repeated calls to Delhi Haat, but each time the excuse was different. The materials have to come from factory/stock got over/courier person has not come... all highly unprofessional excuses. If they had couriered the items which we had chosen, none of their excuses would be relevant.
And finally when the parcel did arrive 2.5 months later, we receive a slip that we have to go and pick it up from the said Post Office. To top it all, we had to pay the money order charges also. On calling back, the creep had the guts to tell me to fo to hell and do whatever i wanted (to cut an abusive conversation short)!!!
So ppl, pls beware - if you are really eager to buy the goods, go ahead, but dont ever ask them to courier you the goods, unless you have the time, patience and moeny for it!!!
